This years Championship Tourney on Piedmont Lake October 22nd, 2006 was one of the most punishing events most of us have had to endure. The day started out overcast, cold, damp, wet, winds at (35mph) that never stopped. The lake water levels had been high for a couple weeks and were falling rapidly. That's not the greatest fishing conditions, but partly that is what a Championship Event is all about. Regretably Mike Slates & Rich Didonato were unable to fish as their boat motor malfunctioned at Blast off.
